Four windows that look out onto the Square du Temple, where it is said lies the hidden treasure of the Templars. Light enters the space at all hours of the day, thus in the morning, entering from the windows facing the public garden and in the afternoon, through those of the courtyard. Of course the apartment is located on the fifth floor without an elevator, but what a delight to not hear the footsteps above one’s head and to be high enough to see the ducks in the little pond, just up front. The rue de Bretagne is ideal for one’s daily shopping with its many shops and the Enfants Rouges marketplace, and the area is perfect for having a drink in one of the cafés, or to have a couscous at 404, rue des Gravilliers or argentinian cuisine at Anahi, on rue Volta. Its location is perfect, at the intersection between the very ‘hip’ Marais, the ‘popular’ Place de la République and the touristic zone of Beaubourg-Hôtel de Ville-Châtelet, it’s difficult to be any more central than that.
